The registration process requires just 3 pieces of information:
- a username of your choice
- a password of your choice
- a valid e-mail address
There are a number of optional fields that you can also complete
if wished, these pieces of information make up your user profile.
Once submitted you will receive an e-mail confirming your
registration details and containing a link which you must
click to activate your registration. Once clicked your e-mail
address will be validated and your account activated and you
may log-in to KoiPix.com where you will be able to create
your albums and upload images.
Important note for AOL users - AOL will not allow
the automatic registration e-mail through their system. Your
registration will be processed manually by us which he will
endeavour to do within 24 hours.
Create an album
Before you can upload images you must first create an
album to place them in. To create an album click on 'Create/order
my albums' and then 'New'. The words 'New Album' should appear
in the input field. Overtype this with the name you would
like to call the new album and then click the 'Apply modifications'
button. Confirm you wish to apply the modifications and your
new album is created. You may do this to create as many albums
as you wish, e.g. Pond pics, Koi pics, etc. You may now upload
images to your albums.
Adding images to albums
To add an image to an album that you have created first select
'Upload picture'. Select the album from the drop down list
that you wish to place the image in. Click the browse button
and you should be able to see the files on your computer.
Navigate through the folders on your hard drive until you
find the image you wish to upload and click 'Open'.Iif you
wish you may add titles, descriptions and keywords to your
images. Once you have completed the information you wish to
click the 'Upload picture' button and the image will be uploaded
and resized automatically.
Remember the image can be any size although the larger it
is the longer the upload will take. If you have resized images
already then it will make uploading images to your albums
much quicker.
Deleting images
Images can easily be deleted if no longer required or
if you are running out of storage space and do not wish to
purchase some more.
Deleting individual images - To delete an image first login
in and browse to the particular image that you wish to delete.
Beneath the image you will find a 'Delete this picture' button.
Simply select that and select ok on the confirmation dialogue
and the image will be deleted.
Deleting complete albums - If appropriate you can delete complete
albums of images. Browse to the page showing your albums.
There is a delete button to the right of the album thumbnail.
Select that and then 'ok' on the confirmation dialogue and
the complete album and all it's contents will be deleted.
